Chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Ernest Obi, has said that there is no marginalisation or tribalism in the Nigeria movie industry.

He spoke after commiserating with the family of the late Muyideen Aromire during his burial.

Ernest said that the notion that the Yoruba movie industry is not part of Nollywood should be totally erased.

“We are all professionals just doing our jobs. So, we are all one. There is no thin or thick line that separates the English and Yoruba actors like some people insinuate,” he noted.

Stating the reason for his colleagues' absence from the burial, he said that adequate information was not passed to the AGN.

“Although we heard that Alade passed on, we didn't have any information as to the burial arrangement,” he explained.

Speaking on the deceased, he described him as a fun-loving and jovial man, who would do anything for anyone. He also said that he would be greatly missed by all in the movie industry.
