The Nigerian comedy industry is said to be the fastest growing due to the fact that almost every day, new acts spring up with new concepts. In the industry, many comedians fight for relevance. But one challenge that gives them sleep nights is the use of other peoples' jokes, which some of them have vehemently kicked against.

For Princewill, a standup comedian, many comedians do not to perform well at events where several other colleagues are. This was what he told Nollywoodgists.com recently.

According to him, this is because many of them use other peoples' jokes and when such happens, the original owner of the material will be left with nothing to say.

He said that comedians who plan to use a particular joke at an event, may end up meeting the owner of the joke at the show, and may be forced not to use such, but his, which may end up to be watery.

He also noted that some comedians feel intimidated at each other presence at event, adding that they perform when there are no other colleagues at the same show.
