Ijaw born-Nollywood actress, Dakore Omobola Egbuson-Akande, who is from Bayelsa State, is one of the leading glamorous stars in the Nigerian movie industry who debuted in the movie scene around 2000.

The gorgeous mother of two children had her education in Lagos State before she was spotted by top Nollywood producer, Emem Isong, to star in the movie 'Silent Tears' in year 2000.

Dakore began to steal the attention of Nigerians after she starred the blockbusters 'Emotional Crack', 'Shattered Illusions', 'Hole in the Heart', to mention but a few.

Dakore is a multiple award-winning actress. She is the first winner of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) Best Actress of the Year, which took place in Maryland, USA in July 2006.

Her unruly dreads which makes her natural, charming and daring, even though she has tried other hairdos are her signature. When she wears the hairdo, she is at her most delicious state. The actress was also known for rocking her skimpy thin-strap dresses when she started her acting career.

Her 'charming' diction and infectious laugh, with her glorious and gorgeous megawatt smile, is like a weapon that can trap her prey.

In 2007, she became the face of Amstel Malta.

In 2011, the screen diva found her match and got married to Olumide 'Lou' Akande. Both have two children together.

However, the accomplished diva, with strong composure and acting skills, has not been like before on screens lately. She was once rumoured to have left the movie industry, but she disclosed to a journalist that her acting career has taken on a new tow and dimension as she would be more discerning in the roles she chooses to act. According to her, she will have to consider her husband before taking any role, as she can no longer plays romantic roles as before because she is now a mother and a wife.

No doubt, Dakore is loved by many, but a lot of people are of the view that the actress is non-versatile> Their reason is that she has a 'stereotype' thing of only acting in big girls' movie and can't do a core village girl or poverty- stricken role in movies like Mercy Johnson
