Nigerian music stars, David 'Davido' Adeleke and Tiwa Savage have been recognised by BET Awards as they have been nominated for the prestigious awards.

The artistes were nominated in the 'Best International Act: Africa' category along with four others; Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Mafikizolo (South Africa), Sarkodie (Ghana) and Toofan (Togo).

In 2012, Wizkid won the award in the category just as Nigeria also produced a winner the following year when Ice Prince won it.
