Returnee Nigerian artiste, Abdul Rasaq Lawal aka Rasqie who reigned in the late 90s and 2000s, has said that he decided to take a break so as to put some necessary things in place which he feels could help position the industry.

According to him, in analyzing the industry, it has really grown compare to time past adding that some artistes don't come into the industry for passion but for money.

“What keeps me going is the passion though there is the business side of it. What shocks me is that our artistes today don't sing for the passion they have for the song, but go for the money and fame which will not be able to stand the test of time.”
