Ibinabo Mourns Abuja Motor Park Blast Victims
President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has expressed grieve over the bomb blast incident that took place in Abuja on Monday morning, where close to 200 persons reportedly died.
Just when some residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja were rushing to work, some suspected terrorists attacked a motor park station at Nyanya, killing and injuring many others in the process.
In a statement released on Monday afternoon, Ibinabo condemned the act and prayed that God gives families of the victims the fortitude to bear the great loss.
“My heart bleeds! I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. To all those who have lost someone to Boko Haram, may the good Lord give you all the fortitude to bear the loss.
She also urged Nigerians to rise and “fight this 'scourge' called Boko Haram.”
