Top Nollywood actor and estranged husband of Nollywood actress, Fathia Balogun, Saidi Balogun, has been elected as the first president of The Movie Ambassadors (TMA). The election took place on Saturday in Badagry, Lagos.

Laide Bakare, Femi Branch, Yomi Fabiyi, Eniola Badmus, Kunle Afod were among the numerous movie stars that were involved in the election.

Reacting to his emergence as the new TM president, the handsome actor said, “Now is the time to institute changes in our movie industry by rebranding and repackaging! I am thankful and grateful for my fans and supporters. By God's grace we will rebrand the industry, educate ourselves further and have a unified voice.”
