The Nigeria Police Force, on Tuesday, presented to the media, 10 suspects who were arrested in connection with the 'infamous Ejigbo Pepper Sodomy' case involving a woman and two young girls.

The suspects were paraded at a press conference which took place at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad Unit in Lagos. They include the Babaloja of Ejigbo Market, Isiaka Waheed, the Iyaloja and others involved in the heinous crime.

While addressing newsmen, the Force Public Relations Officer, Mr Frank Mba disclosed that four other suspects involved in the dastardly act are still at large.

They include Tiri (surname unknown), the suspect who stripped the woman and young girls naked and also captured the torture on tape; Tepa Oluranti, Akeem (surname unknown) and Michael Abolore.

The Nigeria Police headquarters, the Lagos State Office of the Public Defender (OPD) and civil society organizations led by the Women Arise team, thanked members of the public who volunteered information that helped in tracking down the suspects. They urged the public to assist with further information that could lead to the arrest of the other suspects at large.

It would be recalled that the incident occurred in February 2013, but the video went viral on the internet months later. In the video, a woman and two female teenagers were apprehended for allegedly stealing pepper, tortured for more than six hours with pepper and bottles inserted into their private parts. One of the victims, Juliana Agoma, eventually died afterwards.
