Ghanaian Female Producer Hajia Hawa Meizongo And the film markerters president

Veteran female producer Hajia Hawa Meizongo of Silver-line Films who has been crowned the queen mother of Hausa, has called on all and sundry to support women who do movie production.

She says the production job has been very hectic, so takes a determined woman to be in film production. She added that, the media needs to encourage women in film production, since it`s not an easy job.

Hajia, who has been in the movie industry for over 22 years with about 38 movies to her credit, told NigeriaFilms.Com Correspondent (Mustapha Ayinde Inusah AKA Attractive) in Ghana that it is a great honor to be crowned as a queen to lead the Hausa community.

She added that though her being a queen of Hausa will involve a lot, it will not prevent her from producing movies. “Being a queen of Hausa people comes with lots of responsibility for the Hausa and Muslim communities as in organizing them and putting them in good shape and to cater for the orphan, the needy, sick, school dropouts and the like.

Touching on movie actresses who go semi naked in movies, she stated that every woman knows that going nude is not a right thing to be do but rather she will blame the public because when the public rejects such movies, producers will not be investing in it anymore since they know the public will not buy it, when it comes out.

She added that the seemingly fall in the production of Ghana English movies cannot be blamed on producers not shooting good and quality movies. “The main reason why the Ghanaian English films collapsed was because it got to a time Nigerian film producers were producing more films and releasing more Nigerian movies onto the Ghanaian market, so when it got to a point that movie fans were fed up with their movies, it affected the Ghanaian English films as well” she lamented.
