IFEANYI DIKE ANGRY WITH NOLLYWOOD STARS
The chairman Board of Trustees, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Ifeanyi Dike, is angry with Nollywood actors.
The actor has expressed the board of trustees' anger with Nollywood actors who have refused to pay their dues to the guild.
According to him, the actors have not been paying their dues to the guild, “but when they have problems, they run to the guild for help.”
He said the actors may be sanctioned, adding that, “none of these stars have paid their dues for the past two years. But we are planning to write the AGN President, Ejike Asiegbu, to take necessary action against them soon.”
NollywoodReel gathered that the Ejike Asiegbu-led AGN has also embarked on a programme to empower upcoming artistes in the industry.
The programme, NollywoodReel learnt, will afford young actors the opportunity of getting more jobs and being paid well.
The AGN has also decided to take action against actors using the industry name 'Nollywood' for their personal businesses without the consent of AGN.
