Blackface Loses N1m At COSON

Recently, Blackface, a former member of defunct Plantashun Boiz music group, which he formed with two others; 2Face and Faze, was in the news after he expressed bitterness for not being invited to the marriage of his Idoma clan brother from Benue State, 2Face.

While some speculated that Blackface did not attend the wedding because he could not sponsor himself for the 'expensive' Dubai trip, others watered that argument down as they maintained that the talented singer isn't broke, but circumstances prevented him from attending the nuptial ceremony.

But Nollywoodgists.com authoritatively learned that Blackface recently lost the opportunity to be N1million richer at an event organized by Copyrights Society of Nigeria (COSON), recently to mark its week in May 2013.

Blackface had been tipped to win the competition tagged; 'COSON All Stars Table Tennis Blow Out' after defeating many of his colleagues.

But on Sunday, April 21 at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Rowe Park, Yaba, Lagos, Blackface met his waterloo in the hands of a relatively known Sure Boy who taught the popular singer some lessons of ping pong. The lesser known, up and coming singer made sure that Blackface missed the opportunity to get the N1million attached to the competition for the winner as he could not move to quarter finals having been defeated by the dude .

The grand finale of the competition comes up in May. Over 100 stars entered for the event including Adewale Ayuba, Sammy Okposo, Ruggedman, Mr Raw, Sexy Steel, Olamide, Konga, Djinee, Timi Dakolo, Queen Ure, Azzezat, Seyi Allen and others.
