The organisers of one of Africa's biggest film awards, Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) have concluded plans to return to Bayelsa, which has hosted the event since inception apart from 2012 when it was held in Lagos.

We authoritatively learnt that the event will hold in Yenagoa, Bayelsa, on April 20, 2013.

Already, we were reliably informed that the state governor, Serieke Dickson, is prepared to host African filmmakers in his state during the awards period.

AMAA is one of the most coveted awards in Africa. Last year, the event surprisingly held in Lagos.

No reason was known for the return of AMAA to Bayelsa State, which has been the traditional host of the event.
