Come June 2013, veteran Yoruba actress, Lanre Hassan better known as Iya Awero, will be celebrating her 50 years on stage.

The talented and prolific actress, is a top shot in the Yoruba movie industry. She is a cross-over actress who has acted in some English speaking films of Nollywood.

Her role in the popular TV series 'Dear Mother' comes to mind when Iya Awero is mentioned.

In June, friends and family members will gather to celebrate her golden jubilee of acting. The event is expected to hold at the Blue Roof hall located inside the premises of LTV 8 in Ikeja, Lagos.
