By Michael Alonge

In 1986 when Wanle Akinboboye returned from the United States of America to pursue three things he knows how to do best, Hospitality, Tourism and Entertainment, not many people believed in him. But today, one name that stands out when it comes to mentioning icons of culture, tourism and security in Nigeria Wanle Akinboboye's name will top the list.

Wande Akinboboye began his educational pursuit from St. Josephs College Ondo and a diploma certificate in Mechanical Engineer from the Kaduna Polytechnic respectively. Afterwards, he jetted out of the country at exactly 18 years old to the United States of America where he studied Business Administration & Security Operations as first degree capping it with a master degree in Hospitality Management from the Florida International University, USA.

Upon his return from America, the highly hospitable Ondo born man about town floated a hospitable haven called La Campagne Tropicana, Adeniyi Jones and a 65-acre land-space beach resort at Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos respectively. Having made some name and contact from that business, Wanle dabbled into security business with his Corporate Guards, one of the leading security outfits in Nigeria today who secure lives and properties of corporate and individuals.

His insatiable love for motherland and respect for culture saw Wanle making frantic effort to display and sell to the global world our rich cultural values and heritage through her KamAfrica Initiative and others.

His many novelties which have, in no small measure, added values to the culture and tourism in this country such as, Motherland Beckons, Atunda Entertainment, a national troupe of repute, KampAfrica, to educate and train the young minds about culture and traditions in Africa most especially Nigeria to mention but only a few are the magic wands Wanle has been using as tools to project the image of the country to the rest of the world.

In a few weeks time, his national troupe in conjunction with some renowned Nollywood superstars will showcase a story about slavery entitled Odigbose, it's a must watch for every home.
