Some Nollywood's heavyweights have been nominated into different categories for this year's African Film Festival & Academy Awards (ZAFAA). The nomination ceremony was held yesterday in Lagos.

Nollywood's stakeholders converged at Ojez Restaurant located inside the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos for the nomination. Olu Jacobs (Adesuwa), John Dumelo, Joseph Benjamin (Kiss and tell) were nominated in the Best Actor category while Funke Akindele, Monalisa Chinda and Nadia Buari were nominated for the Best Actress of the year category.

Others are Nse Ikpe Etim and Martha Ankomah for Best Supporting Actress. Ufuoma Ejenebor and Chet Anekwe nominated for Best Upcoming Actress and Actor categories.

Lancelot Imasuen (Adesuwa), Desmond Elliot (Kiss and Tell) and Ruke Amata (Past Came Calling) are nominees for Best Director. The awards is expected to hold in October 2012.
