Olaniyi Afonja a.k.a. Sanyeri is one rare breed actor in Nollywood today whose role played in any movie have been well accepted by his fans. Not only has he become one of the most sought after comic-actors but an actor who is making all the money.

In an interview recently, he said that his early involvement in acting led to his inability to further his education.
Hear him, I didn't attend any higher institution because I joined a theatre group very early in life. So, I will say my love for acting robbed me of having tertiary education."

This humour merchant per excellence, after almost 20 years of devotion to acting, many still see him as a flash in the pan! But the Oyo State-born father of two, who is unpretentious and artless, has taken comedy to a dizzy height in the nation's movie industry.

This articulate Oyo born actor who produced films like, Opa Kan, Ambali ati Muniru andAdaba has succeeded in cultivating a cult following in Nigeria's entertainment circus.
