Eight Killed In University Christian Students Fellowship Bomb Attack In Kano
An early morning raid on a Catholic student fellowship at the old campus of Bayero University in Kano has led to the death of at least 8 people according to police sources.
The attack on an early morning student fellowship started around 8: 00 am when two explosion rocked two corresponding theaters at the university where Christians usually have their services on Sundays. The bomb explosions were followed by gunshots that lasted several minutes before police arrived the scene.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Police and soldiers have cordoned off the campus preventing the media as well emergency services group from entering the university.
