ON the 24th of April 2012 at about 2 pm ,along Benin BY PASS, road heading to Delta state.After Robbers terrorized under that by pass ,which from witnesses ,that has being part of routine and the Police are yet to deploy a vehicle there to curb the menace....Even when it has been happening on daily basis and the only solution is to station a Police team out there.

On the said time and date,a travelling Mini Air conditioned Bus belonging to Eekesson was travelling from Oyinbo to Onuicha,when a Trailer driver deliberately bash it by the side and sent it summersalting into the bush with all the passengers.

POLICE vehicle carrying a DPO arrived first and the passengers with less wound ,begged the Police officers to have mercy and send the more injured ones to Hospital,but the DPO refused bluntly and speed off ,that was after they showed him a woman with a child that is bleeding badly with the child and sho needed immediate medical attention..

He speed off not in pursuit of the fleeing Tanker nor to do a thing ,but he fleed because he does,not care.

After some of other Ekeson buses travelling same route came in,packed and started helping to remove the victims,and one of the Driver of Ekeson Emeka, discharged his passengers and use his bus as AMBULANCE that sent the victims to Hospital,while some other drivers worked in unison to help the wounded.

That was a team work and humanitarian work done by this drivers and passenegers,they showed great love and concern.

One of the Drivers called FRSC who arrived shortly with Ambulance and evacuate some of the victims to nearby hospital and they were helping tending to less injured ones...

The police made a second appearance,this time they came with Towing vehicle which they hired ,they came to tow the Vehicle to station,so that Ekeson will come and pay some ransom to get his vehicle,but good a thing the passengers from all the other buses that stopped to help said HELL NO ,that the police will not touch the vehicle.

FRSC wanted to tow the vehicle out from the bush to thier station but the Police came with serious intimidation over the FRSC,the FRSC did a tactical withdrawal by calling off thier own towing van to avoid collison with the Police.

If they cannot care for the wounded,if they cannot be merciful to fellow citizens they are paid to protect,then they have no business trying to make money out of peoples misery.

When asked the leader of the police team that came to rescue the damaged bus ,why did the Police ran away instead of helping the wounded,the officer answered and i quote "THE TEAM WAS TRAVELLING WITH A DPO,who was on errand ,he continued on his way and call me to come to the scene",,,,now people got angry and ask him what errand is more important than to save human life ?,,,,,well he has no answer to that..

The question now is ,what is the use of having Police when they cannot be of help to the living or the wounded ?
