IS GOV. FASHOLA REALLY OWING IYA RAINBOW?

The April campaigns and elections have come and gone, but what will linger in the memory of star actress, Esther Idowu Philips, popularly known as Iya Rainbow, is the money she was unable to get from Governor Raji Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State for a campaign TV commercial she did for the number one man in Lagos.

According to Iya Rainbow, she did a TV commercial that was aired in some stations for the Action Congress flag-bearer during his campaigns towards the April general elections, but has not been paid a dime for it.

Referring to a story recently published by NollywoodReel with the headline “Meet Nollywood Stars Who Don't Have Automobiles,” the veteran actress said: "How will I have a car when the majority of people giving us jobs do not pay us?

“People just see that we do a lot of jobs, but the question is, how many of the job owners pay us? Even if they want to pay, is it the right fee?”

Iya Rainbow, however, noted that one of the jobs that didn't fetch her any money was the campaign TV she did for the Governor of Lagos State, Raji Fashola.

She said that a lot of people were insinuating that I got millions of naira from the commercial, but I can tell you that before God and man, I have not received a dime. Though I'm still hoping that the governor has not forgotten that effort so soon.”

She said if she get paid for some of her past jobs, then definitely her life will not remain the same.
