According to information gathered by Nollywoodgists.com, the funeral of late American songstress, Whitney Houston will hold on Friday, February 17, 2012 in New Jersey.

The remains of Whitney was flown to New Jersey on Monday night, after her death last week Saturday in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

It is expected that a wake would be held in her honour on Thursday, while a funeral would hold on Friday at the Prudential Center arena in Newark, which is the birthplace of the singer.

Multiple reports confirm that the city's Whigham Funeral Home will handle the funeral arrangement of Whitney Houston.

Whitney Houston died on Saturday, February 11, 2012 in her room at Beverly Hills Hotel. Police confirmed that she died in a bath tub. Results of her autopsy is expected to be announced in 4 to 6 weeks time, pending the completion of a toxicology report. She was aged 48.
