Now let's talk about something serious, 'Corruption' , one might ask, what is corruption ? . But in the actual sense , corruption is an act of willingness to act or instigate dishonesty in return of money, favor etc. And also evil, immoralities .

Early this month, after president Goodluck's pronouncement of the removal of fuel subsidy , it was a whole lot of drama and tragedy, following the massive protest that led ti lost of lives and properties .

But the overwhelming side of it, was when most of our celebrities from the entertainment industry reacted and aired their respective views, many criticized the government and the presidency, calling them all kinds of names (thief, corrupt people, cabals, bla bla bla ) . And meanwhile more than 82% of them are also corrupt too, and corrupting innocent children in our community via their acts, songs, movies lifestyle etc, yet we see it as an acceptable corruption, which is very wrong. They are just mere hypocrites, it's funny though that whenever we talk of corruption, our mind and focus goes the financial aspect , (which the politicians are of victims) what about the moral aspects ? the immoralities, which is a big menace to our society as a whole?

It's obvious and amazing, how fast we are at crucifying and judging other people's wrong, knowing fully well that we're victims of same or similar circumstance. And that is the case here with our celebrities and government officials, which is a mere hypocrisy. For you to stand bold and ask someone to clean the dirt in his or her eyes, you ought to have cleaned up the dirt hidden deep inside your nose.

Entertainment is the fastest means of spreading any act, trend and culture, especially through music, movies among others. Now imagine the kind of vulgar lyrics some artiste use in songs that are being made public.

''i love Nicki Minaj, her yansh is bigger" D'banj -Oliver twist-

''i f**k her for yansh, until she cum" Wizkid -Low Key-

"panti no na iro" Flavour - Pant -

"we dey live for london, and if we dey shuk, we dey shuk with condom" Waconzy -Too much money-

and so on, obviously you hear our innocent children mime them freely. Now how will you feel as a parent with good reputation, if your 3yr old child should mime any of the above lyrics line in your present?

The worst part of it, is that most of the celebrities and unions that led the protest, didn't go out to do so because they love the masses, many had their own selfish interest and objectives. However some just want to be heroic and justify themselves in the eyes of the innocent crowd [fans].

Just a day after the first day protest, many artistes started recording and shooting videos with tittles "Subsidy" just to gain cheap publicity and promo, lol funny enough. These things are becoming alarming, it is just like a thief crucifying a prostitute, isn't that hypocrisy? It is just that most of us, the fans and masses are just ignorant, puppets and we follow crowd mentality 'Do as i do' or 'Do as i say'.

Despite the fact that we try to hide the truth from ourselves and shift all the corruption blames to the government officials and politicians, our entertainment industry is one of the most corrupt section of our economy. Do you know that some people do pay huge ransom just to get a musical award? etc

The radio stations play a key role in the entertainment industry, cus they facilitate the promotion of music. But let's be frank here, how many of the radio stations often play our Nigerian songs? Only few, most of them only emphasis on foreign songs, trying to associate with Western world the more. And that is what i call 'colonial mentality' which we are yet to recover from. I wonder how many of the foreign radio stations play our songs often as we play theirs.

Even most of our Nigerian radio stations that play our own songs pay less emphases and attention to artiste that writes good and inspirational songs in the likes of Bez, Adol, Omawumi, Waje, Timi Dakolo and others, rather they emphasize more on songs that talks sex, money, fame etc, there's no equality.

Many are being deceived by some trickish conspired hypocrisy of some of our so called celebrities, icons, etc.

When will all these hypocrisy stop?

When will all these conspiracy stop?

When will all these deceit stop?

It begins with you, yeah you!, until we start thinking and doing things right, then we can start getting things right. If you agree with this rough article of mine SHARE on your comment with our forum-mist

God bless you, God bless Nigeria.
