There is no doubt that Tinsel, a drama based film production from MNET, has been a huge success in TV soap opera in Nigeria. Many have
seen Tinsel, which only recently started showing on Nigeria's terrestial TV stations after being aired on pay TV for a long, as one of the best to have come out from Nigeria.

For Gideon Okeke of Tinsel fame, where he played the role of Philip Ade-Williams (a spoilt child of a wealthy Nigerian movie mogul), the MNET's TV series is becoming too boring to the audience as he pointed.

Gideon, a Biochemistry graduate of Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka recently made his mind known about the boring nature of Tinsel TV series, which celebrated its 500 episodes recently at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

This Anambra State born actor and 2006 Big Brother Nigeria housemate took to twitter and tweeted, "TINSEL writers... our audience are smarter than you think they are... WAKE UP.

For now, no official statement has come out from Biola Alabi led MNET's TV series production.
