Following her introduction on September 30th to Lagos businessman,Alexander Oturu;soul singer Nikky Laoye (Olanike Laoye) last week tied the knot with her lover of 11 months.

The court wedding took place on Wednesday,7th December at Ikoyi Registry and this was followed by the Engagement and church wedding on Sunday December 11th at Grandeur Event Centre,Ikeja Lagos.

The wedding ceremony which was well attended by showbiz stars and celebrities was presided by House On The Rock pastors.

Nikky and Alex met about 7 years ago but didn't start dating until January 2011.

That they married on a Sunday in a hall and not in a church on Saturday brought about speculations that she might be pregnant and in response to the rumour Nikky laughed it off saying:” of course I am not pregnant and let me tell one thing you might find interesting.I got married as virgin.

I am proud to say it that I was a virgin till the day I got married(laughs).

Nikky is one of the fast-rising female singers in Nigeria.Her hit single Never Felt This Way shot her into limelight and presently the 30 year-old singer signed under Whala Entertainment has 1 album Angel 4 life to her credit.

Abia State-born Alex is a G.I.S Analyst and runs his own company Flex Geo Informatics.
