Two Nigerian young dancers, Haile Imordu and Fakunmoju Oladap are among the list of 14 young dancers who made it to Jonannesburg , South Africa for the semi –finals stage of the dance Africa competition which is broadcast by Channel O, on DStv.

Continental music giant TV station, Channel O, has scoured clubs in 7 African cities to find the best African freestyle dancer on the continent. The show kicked off with preliminaries in February and now DStv audiences can watch as Dance Africa unveils the sweat, tears and torn ligaments endured during the competition.

The finalists arrived in Johannesburg last week Friday and their first appointment was a display of their talents at the ESPN basketball day in Rosebank on Saturday May 5. Now, their grueling schedule starts where they will be taking part in activities around the city of Johannesburg which includes busking for money at the Ghandi Square as well as visiting the Abram Kriel orphanage.

The 14 finalists from the seven Africa cities are:

1. Johannesburg – Hlengiwe Makhoba and Abraham Dithebe
2. Durban – Nokuthula Zulu & Sanele Ndluli
3. Lusaka, Zambia – Lawrence Banda & Kambo Kasombo
4. Maputo, Mozambique – Douglass Kephass Simba & Rosaria de Fatima
5. Nairobi, Kenya – Brenda Odula & David Kiare
6. Lagos, Nigeria – Halle Ihmordu & Fakunmoju Oladapo
7. Cape Town – Tania Lavern Knoop & Ashraf Jansen

Two contestants will be eliminated each week until only two remain to battle it out as Africa 's best freestyle dancer. The finals will be held in Cape Town at Club Atmosphere in Lansdowne on June 9.

The Dance Africa winner will walk away with fabulous prizes; a chance to be in Malaika's latest music video, a two week paid up tuition program with Dance Umbrella as well as a chance to dance at the Channel O Africa Music Video awards which will be held in October this year.
