Recently,the media was awash with the news that the Elegant Stallion,Onyeka Onwenu accused the chairman,Copyright Society of Nigeria(COSON),Chief Tony Okoroji of misappropriating N3 million Christy Essien Igbokwe's burial funds donated by the Cross River State government(both of them served on Christy Essien's burial committee).

This did not go down well with the accused,who saw the publication as a blatant falsehood,wicked and extremely libelous and capable of doing grave injury to his good reputation.He,therefore,through his lawyer,Seun Omotoba & Co threatened a legal action in a letter dated October 17,2011 demanding the sum of N200 million within two weeks of the date of the letter as damages the grave injury had done to him.

He equally demanded a full page apology through his lawyer which is to be published in Newspapers.

Meanwhile,the songstress,through her lawyer,Fred Agbaje,wrote to Tony Okoroji,insisting that she still stands by the content of the letter she wrote him dated October 14,2011,and that she is ready to defend it anywhere,including the Supreme Court.

She went further by advising the accused to immediately withdraw the legal action and thereafter,apologize to her for writing her about what everybody knows to be true in order to save his face.Or on the other hand,be prepared to defend himself if he insists on going ahead with the case.

She equally replied Patrick Doyle,who she described as lacking good manners in defense of his friend.She equally accused him of saying something he cannot defend and also painting people he mentioned in his mail black.
