The 3rd edition of the Afro Australian Music And Movie Awards (AAMMA) is scheduled to take place at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Australia on October 15,2011 .

Star actress,Mercy Johnson and Ghanaian actor John Dumelo will join a host of celebs as special guests at the event.

The AAMMA which is the only African award event in Australia and New Zealand was created in 2007 by Daniel Okoduwa.

This award event celebrates, appreciates and encourages talents within and outside the African community of Australia, the African continent and Diaspora; 'Friends of Africa' are also appreciated.

Past winners include Tuface Idibia, Emmerson Bockarie, Jimmy Bangura, Monalisa Chinda, Ejike Asiegbu.
