Star Fuji maestro,Alhaji Saidi Akorede,popularly known as Osupa,has debunked the tale that the two of his wives were arrested weeks back in Ibadan,Oyo State,by the police for constituting themselves into public nuisance.

The lyricist was quick to add that the story is not only a bag full of lies but malicious and only orchestrated to embarrass and bring him to disrepute.

Reacting to the rumour on behalf of the controversial entertainer,his manager,Alhaji Ganiyu Balogun,popularly known as Balo,expressed discomfort and surprise,labeling those behind the clandestine rumour as disgruntled and frustrated elements who can skin their grandmothers alive for selfish reasons.

” Saidi Osupa is not around but what you've said is baseless and reckless.It's very malicious as well.There's nothing of such at all.Those who told you that rubbish were just looking for a way to bring down his image and they can't succeed,Insha Allah,” he said.

Response of Alhaji Balogun notwithstanding,the story is that two of the three wives of the fuji act,were physically involved in a street brawl over alleged protracted battle for the soul of their common husband,Osupa.

However,tale bearers maintained that the kind of war between the two senior wives has been giving the young creative artist sleepless nights.They were said to be constantly at each other's neck over who controls what in Saidi's country home at Felele area of Ibadan,Oyo State for about one and half years that they had been in the house.

One of the gladiators,we learnt,gave the talented fuji act his first boy,Quadri and a girl,Suliat.

I learnt the police arrested two of Saidi's wives in Ibadan a couple of weeks back.They exchanged blows in the street reducing themselves to public nuisance.They were invariably put under custody.But now,I learnt they have been released on Saidi's personal recognition.

These wives are the ones in Saidi's palatial country home in Ibadan.The youngest wife,Alake stays with Saidi in Lagos.Now I gathered Saidi is contemplating sending them away because of their incessant fighting, the source said.
