Humble Yoruba actor,Kunle Afolayan,has now been made a Glo ambassador.

In a recent interview, he disclosed that he feels very happy about it. Adding that as a director and producer, it's a added responsibility for him.
Excerpts from the interview;

How is business generally?

So far, so good, I thank God. Business for me has been profitable and tasking at the same time.

After your last movie, Figurine, we have not seen any movie from your stable. What is going on?

We just finished a movie entitled; Breeze which was commissioned by the Security Exchange Commission. It is a government based production. The movie will be premiered in October.

What are you working on at the moment?

At the moment,I am working on a movie entitled, Phone Swap and we will be going on location next week.We were to commence recording last week but we had to stop because of late Uncle Sam Loco Efe,who was one of our cast.

It's so sad that we lost such a big and important personality in the movie industry and the country at large, but you know, life continues and work must go on.So,we are searching for someone to take his role.As soon as that is done, we will move to location.

What is the relationship between you and your younger brother,Aremu,because many say you two are not on good terms?

I saw him two days ago.He came over to my house.So,how can somebody you are not in good terms with come to my house.He was even present at a party held for me at Planet One on Saturday,August6,2011.

What is your view about women as an actor?

I really do not focus on that aspect in my profession but focus more on my career.So,I don't really know what to say about that.

Your wife once stayed abroad for sometime,how were you able to cope with her absence?

Yes,she used to be there,but she's been back in Nigeria for two years now.She was there because she was doing her masters and after she finished,she came back home.

There was a party held for you at Planet One weeks back,what was the event all about?

It was just to celebrate my work,and I thank the organizers for giving me the privilege of sharing my success with them.

How do you feel being a Glo ambassador?

How will anybody feel being a brand ambassador? I feel very happy about it.

What gave you an edge over the rest of your colleagues?

Basically,I feel it was my work that spoke for me.When you're hard working,lots of doors will be opened for you.So,I just think and know that it was my work that spoke for me.

How much were you offered and how do you intend spending the money?

The amount offered remains confidential between myself and Globacom.Also,what I would use the money for remains known to me alone.
But basically,if I am to use the money on anything,it would be visible on my work.By that I mean,I would invest the money on my work.
