EMBATTLED PRESIDENT OF THE PERFORMING MUSICIANS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA(PMAN) DELE ABIODUN REMANDED IN PRISON
Embattled President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria(PMAN),Admiral Dele Abiodun and two others,Idowu Akinnehin and Kunle Ponnle on Tuesday, were remanded in Ikoyi Prisons by an Igbosere,Lagos,Magistrate Court presided over by judge F.O Aigbokhaevbo.
This followed a seven count charge of an alleged financial fraud worth about #16million brought before the court in a case between the commissioner of Police and the three accused persons.
Aigbokhaevbo ruled that the accused persons be remanded in prison custody pending when they were able to secure a bail of #1 million and two sureties each, who must be working with reputable organizations.
While reacting, Abiodun's Lawyer, Rotimi Vaughn, who maintained his client, was innocent of the charges preferred against him, pleaded that he should be granted bail based on self recognition. A plea the judge strongly opposed.
The case was adjourned till August 8.
