KEFEE TOURS NIGER-DELTA-----KEFEE

Sensational singer, Irikefe Obareki-Godwin, popularly known as Kefee, is set to commence her Niger Delta tour early next month.

Kefee is beginning the tour with a concert in Warri, Delta State, as part of activities lined up for the launch of her foundation- Kefee Love Foundation.

To show that the part of the country she comes from is not all about unrest and wars, Kefee is bringing fellow artistes like AY, RMD, Sammy Okposo,Muma Gee and Stella Aboderin in a show that will be talked about for a long time, according to her.

Kefee said, “The project is being put together as an expression of my profound love and affection for a peaceful co-existence among the various nationalities and inhabitants of the Niger Delta region, before the advent of violence.”

The aims and objectives of the project which has attracted the interest of all the state governments in the region, according the Kefee, “is to reach the people of the Niger Delta through concerts beginning from my home town, Warri; and enlighten the people to shun violence and embrace peace for ample development.

“It is high time we stopped killing ourselves. The concerts will be used to appeal to government to use the weapon of the arts to pass their policies for the Niger Delta across to the populace so as to erase all misconceptions. I believe that government actually wants to solve the problem of the region, that is where artistes and concerts of this nature come in.”

Kefee said proceeds from the shows would be used to give scholarships to the less privileged, and also to offer vocational training facility to children, students and victims of violence as well as provide shelter for displaced people.
