A few years ago, Caroline Ekanem-Danjuma was an actress who was beginning to make her impact in Nollywood when she suddenly veered off and got married to her multi-millionaire husband, Musa Danjuma.

By that singular action, she went from being just a television face to elite. The change in her status was reflected in the high profile gigs she attended, often times in company with her husband, adorning pricey apparel and matching accessories.

Many years after her marriage which has produced two kids, there was widespread talk that the union was troubled. Many reasons, including infidelity, were alleged. Although there was no official confirmation from the parties involved, Ekanem disappeared from the social scene she had become accustomed to.

Not too long ago, she made a feeble attempt to refute the tales which she described as a figment of her detractors' imagination. What is however worrisome is that long after what has been described as a face-saving measure in some quarters, she is yet to return to the social scene.
