Wale Adenuga takes The Perfect Church to Ibadan, Abeokuta

By KAZEEM POPOOLA

After making a strong cinema debut across Lagos and gathering accolades as the first movie to be opened in cinemas across Nigeria and Ghana simultaneously, Wale Adenuga's much-talked about movie, The Perfect Church will hit Ibadan and Abeokuta for Easter. Interestingly, Lagos, Ibadan and Abeokuta residents will be simultaneously treated to a dose of the flick that parades the likes of Olu Jacobs, Ramsey Nouah, Funke Akindele, Ngozi Ezeonu, Jibola Dabo, Nobert Young, Hakeem Rahman and Yinka Olukunga among other respected names in the movie industry.

While The Perfect Church will be showing in Lagos on Easter Saturday, April 23rd and Easter Monday, April 25th at the National Theatre and Lagos Welcome Centre in Lagos respectively, movie buffs in Ibadan will be catching all the action at KS Cinema on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. The Perfect Church will also be on at the Cultural Centre in Abeokuta on Monday 25th of April. The Perfect Church tells the story of a church with perfect reputation and holy people with an unholy secret. Pastor Benson (Ramsey Nouah) presides over the church, while Sister Angela (Funke Akindele) leads the choir, and Mr. and Mrs. Ojo (Hakeem and Ngozi) are the elders. Their lives are perfect until Bishop Williams (Olu Jacobs) comes to deliver a confusing vision. All hell was let loose, as lives and reputations are sacrificed. Speaking on reasons for taking the movies to these states, “A story like that which was told in The Perfect Church is not one that should be limited to a few viewers. It is a movie everyone must see. So, all we are doing is to harness all possible means to ensure that The Perfect Church is accessible for everyone's viewing,” Wale Adenuga said.
