Comedy for World Down Syndrome Day

On Monday, March 21, the Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria will join the world to celebrate the World Down Syndrome Day, WDSD. The WDSD is a global event supported by all Down Syndrome groups worldwide and on this day, effort is focused on advocacy, awareness, interactive and educative partnerships to overcome the prejudices of people living with Down Syndrome.

In addition, Nigerian comedians will hold a comedy show to raise donations to help the cause of Children with Down Syndrome. The show 'Comedy Infusion' will hold at The Incubator, Ligali Ayorinde Street, Victoria Island on Sunday, March 20. Participting comedians include: Basketmouth, Julius Agwu, Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, AY, Gordons, Klint Da Drunk, Teju Babyface, Seyi Law and others. On the music scene; M.I, Whizkid, Obiwon, Ice Prince, Jaywon and other musicians will be on hand to ensure the jiggling of bodies to good music.

There will be guest appearance by Ali Baba at the event which will be anchored by the handsome Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot. Wife to the Lagos State governor, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola is expected at the event where children from the foundation also have prepared to delight the comedians and other guests with their wit.
