Lagosians are getting ready once again to witness this year's Eyo Festival which will hold on Saturday, February 5 2011. This was confirmed by the Chairman of the festival planning committee, Mr. Disu Holloway.

'The festival which was scheduled to have taken place in October last year was shifted to February this year due to the West African Senior Certificate Examinations (WASSCE), November/December in the country then', Mr. Holloway explained to newsmen at the Palace of the Lagos monarch, Oba Rilwanu Akiolu.

The year's festivals will feature cultural performances from several groups similar to other festivals in Lagos and is seen as a way of encouraging tourism in Lagos state
