This may sound to you folks like a prophecy, but Searchlight can authoritatively reveal that 2007 is going to be a year of great turn-arounds in Nollywood. One of the great turn-arounds is that a bunch of movie icons will break the yoke of their marriage deadlock this year. Top on the list is the sex symbol star, Jim Iyke, who has promised to walk down the aisle this year with his London-based heartthrob.
Can somebody shout halleluyah?

•These pint-sized actors have obviously sworn to be bosom friends and do almost everything together. One of them recently bade goodbye to bachelorhood, and the other is fast making arrangements to join him in tying the nuptial knot with his heartthrob. I'm talking about Chinedu Ikedize and Osita Iheme of the Aki and Pawpaw fame. Chinedu took the first shot at holy matrimony. Now Osita is left with no choice than to follow suit. Already, he has confirmed that very soon, he will tie the nuptial knot. So who says this year is not a year of turn-arounds for Nollywood dudes?

•Behold, old things have passed away and .... This biblical passage will definitely come to pass in the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) when its raging crisis will be presided over at the Igbosere Magistrate's Court on 29 January.
Some busy bodies said that the impeached president of the guild, Ejike Asiegbu, has been running around town, telling friends that the judge will be on his side while his opponents, Remy Ohajianya and co., are insisting that they have confidence in the judiciary. So let's see who wears the crown.

As you folks are reading this, popular Yoruba actress, Esther Idowu Philips, otherwise known as Iya Rainbow, is in far away London. And going by Searchlight's investigations, she may not return to the shores of this country till next month. Gosh! It's not what you think; she has only gone to celebrate with her daughter who has just delivered of a baby boy in the whiteman's land.
