I've Never Mentioned Any Politician's Name – Falz Insists

Nigerian singer and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has clarified that his campaign against bad governance is not targeted at any individual or political party.

Speaking in an interview with Arise 360, he responded to questions about whether his activism had cost him partnerships or opportunities.

The 'This is Nigeria' crooner disclosed that a group had once reached out to his management for a partnership but raised concerns about his political commentary. He maintained that he has never mentioned any politician's name or political party in his criticism, focusing instead on governance practices.

He added that anyone who feels attacked by his campaign is likely part of the problem Nigerians face.

He said: "The way I look at that is it was never meant for me. If you feel in any way attacked or feel like what I'm doing is in any way directed at you. Then maybe I don't even want to be there, maybe I shouldn't even be there, you know, but what I'm saying is the truth."

"I'm not single handedly picking at anyone to antagonize. What I'm speaking to is the practice and not even really the people in particular. I've mentioned no name, I've mentioned no political part or whatever. So, in fact what they do say when speaking with my manager was something political but this is absolutely zero affiliation. I'm just talking about what is going on. If you have a problem with them, then you are the problem."
