My Path Shines Brighter Because I Walk with You – Pastor Adeboye Celebrates Wife At 78
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has penned a touching open letter to his wife, Folu Adeboye, on her 78th birthday.
He expressed gratitude for her unwavering support, describing her as his wife, friend, and the person who has stood with him through every challenge and victory.
Pastor Adeboye reflected on their 58-year journey together, noting that walking with her has made the weight of his assignment lighter. He praised her quiet sacrifices, compassion, wisdom, and unwavering trust in God, acknowledging that their children, the family of God, and countless homes have been blessed through her devotion.
He prayed that God would continue to uphold her, surround her with peace, strengthen her body, and renew her strength. He further appreciated her for walking hand in hand with him, wishing her a happy 78th birthday.
He wrote: "To my lover, Great has been the journey of walking side by side with you. And so today, on your 78th birthday, it is a gift to me to have the world join me in doing what I have spent 58 years doing, celebrating you.
With you, the weight of the assignment has always been a lighter cross to carry. Our two have agreed, and so our walking together has been of divine stride, a race continuously illuminated, step after step, decade after decade. My path shines brighter because I walk it with you.
Many people know you as Mummy G.O. I have the privilege of knowing you simply as my wife, my friend, and the person who has stood with me through every challenge, every victory, and every assignment God has given us.
I have watched you give strength to others even when you were tired yourself. I have seen your quiet sacrifices, your compassion, your wisdom, and your unwavering trust in God. Those are the things that make me thank God for you every day.
Our children have been blessed because of your love. The family of God has been blessed because of your devotion. Countless homes have been strengthened because you answered God's call with all your heart.
Seventy-eight years of my life, fifty-eight years of them beside me, and still I find new reasons to thank God for you. You have been a wife, counsel and companion in every sense the world was ever meant to hold.
As you celebrate today, my prayer is simple. May the God whom you have served so faithfully continue to uphold you. May He surround you with His peace, fill your days with fresh hope, strengthen your body, renew your strength, and continue to satisfy you with His goodness. May the years ahead be even more fruitful than those behind, and may you continue to see the mighty hand of God at work in your life.
