Marriage Is Not An Achievement – Blord Warns Against Rushing Into It
Celebrity businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has advised singles to delay marriage until they are financially and emotionally stable.
Speaking on the Adult Gist podcast, he criticized the trend of youths rushing into marriage due to peer pressure and societal expectations.
Blord emphasized that marriage should not be seen as an achievement, urging people to take their time in choosing a life partner. He warned men against breaking women's hearts, reminding them that they will one day have daughters who could face the same treatment. He also advised women to treat men with the same respect they would want for their sons.
The businessman cautioned that rushing into marriage often leads to rushing out, as reversing it becomes extremely difficult, especially when children are involved. He encouraged singles to prioritize making wise decisions over societal pressure.
He said: "Don't rush to marry. Take your time and make a good choice for a life partner. Don't break ladies' hearts because one day you are going to have a daughter and what you did to other people's daughters someone else is going to do the same to your daughter.
"Treat women the way you want them to treat your daughter. Ladies, treat a man the way you want them to treat your son. So, don't be in a rush to marry. Marriage is not an achievement. Nobody should push you into marriage. Because if you rush into marriage, you will rush out.
"So, take your time. Age doesn't matter… Don't marry who you will regret later. Because to reverse marriage is very very hard, most especially when children are involved."
