Being A Good Person Doesn't Guarantee People Will See You Rightly – Scarlet Gomez

Nollywood actress Scarlet Gomez has shared her thoughts on how people perceive others, admitting that being a good person does not always guarantee that people will see you correctly.

In a recent Instagram post, she reflected on the challenges of being misunderstood.

The actress noted that the way people see one is personal, as they will see what they want to see no matter what. She also pointed out that some people will intentionally dirty one's image simply because they couldn't use, control, or break the individual. She described the world as funny and sad, noting that people will believe stories about one without meeting one.

Scarlet Gomez further stated that a lie repeated enough can start to feel like the truth, even to the point of ruining all that one has worked hard to build. She however advised that one cannot control stories they didn't write, so people can either believe the rumors or meet you.

She wrote: "The biggest mistake I always make is thinking being a good person would guarantee that people will see you correctly (for who you are). IT DOESN'T!!!! I've learned that the way people see you is personal (they will see what they want to see no matter what) ! Some people will dirty your image on purpose simply because they couldn't use you, control you, or break you. FUNNY WORLD!!! People will believe stories about you without meeting you. Sometimes a lie repeated enough starts to feel like the truth even till it ruins all that you worked hard to build. SAD WORLD. But U can't control stories you didn't write. So they either believe the rumors, or meet you. Either way, know who U are !!!! And that should be enough."
