I Didn't Think About Marriage Until God Spoke – Ruth Kadiri

Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has shared the surprising story of how she met her husband, admitting that marriage was never something she actively pursued.

Speaking in a recent interview with Ifedayo Agoro, the movie star revealed that she had no strong desire to marry, however, she was always confident in her worth, believing that any man who eventually won her heart would be fortunate.

Kadiri recounted that her husband first approached her at their workplace, but she initially showed little interest. She revealed that in order to keep the conversation going, she steered it toward business topics like importation and Vietnam, and as she was about to walk away, she felt a divine nudge that he was the one for her.

According to her, two days after that encounter, she blocked him, but he made extra efforts to reconnect with her. Months later, he proposed and she said yes, marking the beginning of their love story.

She wrote: "I've never really been the girl who sits down and thinks about marriage. It wasn't a thing for me. I didn't even know whether I was going to marry. I knew I was a catch and anyone that was going to marry me was going to be lucky."

"As I was about to walk away, the Spirit of God told me he's my husband. Two days later, I blocked him, but he went the extra mile to find me. Months later, he proposed to me and I accepted."
