This Wasn't The Plan – Actress Nancy Isime Mourns Following Alexx Ekubo's Service Of Songs

Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has been left emotional following the successful Service of Songs of her late colleague, Alexx Ekubo.

Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported that the actor gave up the ghost on May 11, at the age of 40, following a battle with cancer.

The actor's Service of Songs was held at the Monarch Event Centre in the Lekki area of Lagos State on Wednesday, June 10. The ceremony drew a mix of Nigeria’s entertainment and political elite. The atmosphere was charged with emotion as colleagues, friends, and fans came together to pay their final respects to the beloved actor.

Describing the event, Nancy Isime revealed that it was her hardest hosting gig.

Addressing the deceased, she noted how it wasn't the plan for him to be gone yet, promising not to accept his death.

She wrote: "HARDEST Hosting Gig of my Life! This wasn’t the plan Old 20 Naira, This wasn’t the plan..

But 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and Matthew 5:4 are my assurance.

I refuse to put your name and rest in one sentence, I just can’t.
