I Performed At APC National Convention Because Of My Uncle – Ice Prince Addreses Critics 

Nigerian rapper and singer Ice Prince has addressed critics of his performance at the 2026 All Progressives Congress, (APC), national convention.

The singer's performance at the ruling party's event subjected him to immense criticism from the public, with many lambasting him for being partisan amid the issues plaguing the country.

However, explaining his reason for accepting the gig in a recent episode of the Black Box podcast, Ice Prince revealed that he was billed to perform at the event because of his uncle.

According to him, Nentawe Yilwatda, who is his uncle and the APC National Chairman reached out to him.

He said: "Who booked me for that event? My uncle – Nentawe Yilwatda who is the APC Chairman. He is not just a random person to me. He is my real uncle."
