Family Of Late ALexx Ekubo Announce Funeral Arrangements Details
The family of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, has announced the full details of his burial arrangements.
Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported that the actor gave up the ghost on May 11, at the age of 40, following a battle with cancer.
According to reports, he battled stage four liver cancer in 2024 and underwent a transplant; however, in 2026, the liver failed again, and he died from complications hours after being placed on life support.
Sharing an update in a recent Instagram post, the family of the late actor described his life as beautifully lived and deeply impactful, while releasing full details of his burial arrangements.
According to them, a Service of Songs would be held for the actor on Wednesday, 10th June, 2026. Following it would be a wake-keep on Wednesday, while the actor would be laid to rest on Thursday, the 18th of June, in his hometown in Abia State.
The full statement read:

With profound sorrow, yet gratitude to God for a life so beautifully lived and deeply impactful, we officially announce the funeral arrangements of our beloved husband, son, brother, friend, and colleague, Alexx Ekubo-Okwaraeke
The overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, messages, visits, calls, support, and strength shown to the family during this painful period has been truly humbling. Words cannot fully express our gratitude. Alexx was deeply loved, and your kindness continues to remind us that his light, compassion, faith, and impact on so many lives will never be forgotten.
Though his passing came far too soon, Alexx lived a life marked by love, warmth, generosity, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to God and the people he cherished. His presence filled rooms, lifted hearts, and created memories that will last forever.
