12th AMVCA Awards: Lisabi Clinches Best Indigenous Language Film For The Second Year

Nollywood blockbuster movie, Lisabi, has clinched the award for the Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa) award at the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

The award ceremony which is organized to honour the creativity of African movies, had its 12th edition on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.

Lisabi, a movie created by Nollywood couple, Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe eventually won the award category for a second year running.

Accepting the award on stage, Lateef Adedimeji dedicated the award to his wife and new mother of three, Mo Bimpe, praising her for making his dreams a success.

He said: "This award is dedicated to the woman who made me chase my dream. The woman who gave me my three kings.”

Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe's Lisabi: A Legend is Born was crowned the Best Indigenous Language Film in 2025, at the 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA).
