Davido Puts Music Career On Hold For Two Months To Focus On Governor Ademola Adeleke's Re-election 

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced his decision to place his music career on hold for two months, in order to focus on his appointment as the head of youth mobilization for of the campaign of his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke's Osun re-election.

The 30BG boss made the announcement known on Tuesday in Ede, Osun State, during the inauguration of the Imole Youth Campaign Mobilisation Team was taking place.

He explained that his decision was to ensure his uncle wins his second term and accomplish more for Osun State.

While addressing members of his team, Davido emphasized their importance to his uncle's re-election because it is youth-focused.

He further admonished members of his team to prioritize engagement with other youths, and enlighten them about Governor Ademola Adeleke's contributions.

He said: "I have put my musical career on hold for two months to come and work for my uncle, not only because he is my uncle but because he is doing a good job and still has more to accomplish. The job is not done."

“We are all here to support him to win the election with our influence. This is one of the most important committees because it focuses on youths.

"Let us carry out door-to-door mobilisation across all local governments, showcasing what the governor has achieved and what he intends to do. Engage people within your communities and communicate the governor’s programmes effectively."

Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported that Davido was appointed as the head of youth mobilization of the campaign for his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke's Osun gubernatorial re-election campaign.

The news which had first made the rounds on social media, was eventually confirmed by Davido in a post on the popular microblogging platform, X (formerly known as Twitter).

According to him, he has received an appointment from Governor Adeleke to head the youth mobilization campaign council for his re-election. The singer further affirmed his commitment to a smooth campaign and a successful re-election.
