Asake Opens Up On Impact Of Lagos On Music Career

Afrobeats singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has opened up on his career trajectory, and the instrumental part of Lagos in his songs.

The Mr Money crooner made this known in a recent interview with Spotify, noting how he relocated to Lagos following the completion of his undergraduate journey in Obafemi Awolowo University, Osun State.

According to him, Lagos acts as a source of inspiration for many of his songs, in addition to teaching him independence.

Asake also reminisced on his music career, admitting how several more talented individuals have not yet gained fame, while appreciating his Maker for giving Hm fame on a global scale.

He said: "Lagos taught me how to live like a man. Lagos inspired most of my songs."

"I’m happy because there are a lot of people who make music out there and a lot of people who are more talented than me. I’m thankful to God that I’m able to use the talent He gave me -not only locally but also globally. So for that, I give all thanks to God.”
