Roby Ekpo Fires Back With Legal Team, Following Mayowa Lambe's Cease-and-desist Notice 

Media personality, Roby Ekpo, has fired back at the cease-and-desist notice issued against him by his ex-wife, Mayowa Lambe.

Recall that The Nigerian Voice recently reported that Roby Ekpo, in a now-viral interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast, shared insights into his crashed marriage with Mayowa Lambe.

According to him, Mayowa was unfaithful, deceiving, and also extorted money from him for years, under the guise of pretence. He further expressed his heartbreak upon finding out that she had remarried in the US.

Following the ruckus that Ekpo's interview caused, Nwaneli Esq, the legal representative of Mayowa filed a cease-and-desist notice to Ekpo.

The notice further contained a demand for an apology, retraction of claims, and the payment of N100 million in damages for defamation or face legal action.

Responding to her legal notice, Roby Ekpo, in a joint Instagram post with his legal representatives, Tap legal representatives, shared screenshots of his suit with Mayowa, insisting that every claim he made was rooted in his own personal experiences, his interpretation of events, and matters he honestly believed to be true.

His legal team argued that her demands, especially the request for ₦100 million in damages, were excessive, baseless, and made prematurely. They further stated that their client is ready to face Mayowa in a court of proper jurisdiction.

The legal filing also described the two-day ultimatum she issued as unreasonable and contrary to standard legal procedure, particularly in a case involving disputed facts.
