Toyin Abraham Issues Clarification On Abike Shugaa's Allegations Over Movie Payment 

Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham, is at the centre of another movie controversy, and this time it involves her protege Olawuni Oluwapelumi Abike, popularly known as Abike Shugaa.

In a now-viral video, Abike Shuhaa disclosed that she was paid the sum of N50,000 for her role in a movie, and upon the release of the movie, her scenes were cut out. She further made mention of her appearances with other filmmakers, emphasizing a stark contrast to working with Abraham.

Dropping her side of the story, Toyin Abraham stated that contrary to Abike's claim, she gave her the sum of N500,000 for a role in ‘Malaika’ and N50,000 for two scenes in ‘Ijakumo’, which were ultimately removed by the director during editing.

Absolving herself of the allegations made against her, the box office queen stressed that she would no longer comment on the matter, maintaining that she is one of the producers who support the career of up-and-coming actresses.

“I have made up my mind never to say anything cos I see her as my daughter, and I hope everyone remembers this whole thing started on Twitter. While I paid for her machine, she was paid 500k for Malaika for an upcoming, nobody will pay such. I beat my chest that I’m among those who will pay such."
