Chike Emphasizes Importance Of Marrying Partner With Value

Nigerian singer and songwriter Chike-Ezekpeazu Osebuka, professionally known as Chike, has shared his view on the issue of marriage and relationship.

The 'Running to you' crooner, while speaking during a recent episode of the Ada's Room podcast, mentioned the importance of value before any relationship can take place.

He revealed his mother's advice regarding marriage, noting how she urged him to avoid women without a source of income.

He also shared how she admonished him not to settle down with a lady whose family are financially dependent on the husband's income.

Chike stressed that the concept of marriage should be well discussed before going into, noting how it is deeper than relationship.

He said: "I think everybody should look for a partner that has value. Personally, my mum advised me never to settle down with a woman who doesn’t have a source of livelihood regardless of love."

"She also told me never to marry someone with the baggage of family responsibilities, especially a firstborn that is not productive.”
