Mr Real Berates Colleagues For Releasing Songs, Amid Insecurity
Nigerian singer Okafor Uchenna Victor, better known as Mr Real, has berated his colleagues for releasing songs, amid the insecurity that has plagued Nigeria.
In a viral video broadcast, he noted how terrible news are now the order of the day, noting how he is scared to release songs because of the situation of things.
He wondered how his colleagues are insensitive to keep releasing songs, despite the unpleasant situation of the country. He also slammed Nigerians who still go to club regularly, wondering the inspiration behind their decision.
Mr Real further further pointed out the ability of Nigerians to adapt to unpleasant situations, stressing that it is no longer normal.
He said: "I wake up to terrible news everyday. I am even scared to drop songs because of the terrible things happening in Nigeria. Artists who are releasing songs are trying because I don’t know the kind of mind they have. How do some artists do it?
“This country is burning. People are dying. Some individuals have turned insecurity to business and we still go to club. That is the problem.
"You can argue that you have your own life to live. I also can’t deny that I don’t club or enjoy my life. But can’t you see that it is not normal? It is like we are under a spell to be docile no matter how worse things get. Is it normal?."
